Most of the festivals we have seen last usually between 10 and 20 days. However, this shopping festival is going to be a month long. It will start on January 28 and wrap up on February 26.
The unheard festival is an initiative by the Chief Minister of New Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal. It will see people coming from around the country to set up stalls and shop in the capital.

The festival was suggested by Deputy CM Manish Sisodia under the Rozgaar Budget 2022-23 to stimulate the economy of the capital. It will allow local business persons to set up their shops and showcase their unique culture with their goods.
Not only will the festival promote regional specialities, but it will also generate employment opportunities for many people. During the pandemic, many small businesses suffered, and it would be a chance to market and expand your business.
During the festival, business people might be able to grab good deals on train and airline tickets. There will be great offers available for staying in hotels too.
The CM has said that special packages would be offered to people living nearby New Delhi. In fact, customers would get discounts on many commodities, and there will be prizes distributed to maintain the international standard of the festival.

New Delhi will be split into five zones - North, East, West, South and Central. At all these centres, different exhibitions will be set up. From food stalls to concerts and live shows, there will be a lot for people to explore in the capital throughout the month.

The festival will have sections especially dedicated to art, literature, health, gaming, technology and spirituality. At least 10 malls and 15 markets in these five zones will be selected to attract locals and tourists to participate in the shopping festival. Brand recognition programmes will help small and medium business owners expand their clientele.

If you are thinking that it will be like any other festival, then you can't be more wrong. India's biggest shopping festival will be divided into time slots. There will be designated days for shopaholics, housewives and senior citizens. It will ensure that customers can explore markets without any hassle.
You will also find porter service, golf carts, talent scouting and mehandi application among generic services. Games, rides and ice cream parlours will be available for kids to have the utmost fun.

The arrangements will be such that at least 20,000 people could witness the festival on the ground at once. Tickets will be available for opening and closing ceremonies, and there will be eco-friendly lights installed at railway stations, flyovers, schools, colleges, monuments and metro stations.
